Making Sponge Cake.
“ Oh yay! it's technology I told myself as I walked out of my car. The next thing i knew the bell rang and we headed to Room one and got into our groups from the day before. There were set up tables with different
ingredients on the table one of the main ingredients were eggs.
Whaea Meri told us that we had to crack the egg and separate the egg white from the egg yolk and wisk it. At first it looked easy but once whaea showed us how it was done, it wasn't as easy as we thought it would be. Our group took turns whisking then we came up with the idea to time each other using the ipad.
We looked around and saw one team using an electric whisker wishing we had one of them because for some reason ours wasn't working. Probably because we were using a fork and know one else was but then we finally got a proper one, only to find out it was broken, we tried to fix it but i’m pretty sure it made things worse. So we stopped trying and went back to using the fork. Minutes went by everyone else was so close to putting theirs in the oven while we were still on the first step.
Whaea came over and told us “You're nearly finished “ I was so happy to hear those words we kept whisking and we were done whisking we added flour sugar and the egg yolk then mixed it all together. Whaea buttered our cake tin up and we put the mixture in it and put it in the oven. Unfortunately it was lunch time, so we had to go outside before I knew it, it was time to go out of room one and back into our room.
All of our cakes were out of the oven my group saw the cake it looked great except for the fact that it baked on an angle and nearly the whole cake was burnt. But then we got to taste it and to be honest it wasn't that bad.
